The evening is dedicated to acclimatization and a small walk in the village, where daily life is observed: people are tending cattle, children are walking home after college and older people sit around fires. Simple Himachali food is served at dinner. Overnight stay in Shoja.

Day-2 Local Culture and Jalori Pass Shoja
Upon breakfast, we will drive to the Jalori Pass, a historic mountain route, formerly used as a trade route between the valleys. Here, you can hike in the short nature trails and get to know the flora of the area and ancient road systems.
Our visit to the traditional wooden architecture and rural life in the nearby villages will be made later. Meet the locals and discuss with them seasonal agriculture, wool weaving and mountain festivals. Go back to Shoja to spend time in front of the fire. Overnight stay in Shoja.

After the breakfast visit Tirthan Valley, en route to Jibhi, a scenic village with its old wooden houses and watermills. Take a stroll along winding roads, a ride across wooden bridges, as well as traditional grain mills that are still being used. Keep exploring the Tirthan Valley which is situated on the boundary of the Great Himalayan National Park. Get accommodation in a homestay beside a river. The night is dedicated to being with hosts and getting to know about conservation based lifestyles used by the local communities. One night stay at Tirthan Valley.
