Deoriatal – Chopta – Chandrashila Trek is one among the famous treks of the Garhwal Himalayas among trekking enthusiast round the world. it’s one among the shortest and finest treks best meant for travellers with less time. you’ll get an opportunity to camp next to Deoriatal lake, rehearse the dense forests of the North India, tread through alpine fields and climb a peak of 3950m to urge a shocking view of the snow-covered Himalayan mountains.

On this trek, you’ll visit Tungnath temple, which is that the highest Shiva temple within the world. Also, you’ll encounter the Deoriatal Lake surrounded by dense forest of Rhododendron and a spread of other wild flowers and ferns all around. you’ll explore Chopta, one among the foremost scenic places in entire Garhwal region. Located on the Gopeshwar – Ukhimath road at a distance of about 40 Kms from Gopeshwar, Chopta is 2900 mts high. Also referred to as Mini Switzerland within the Garhwal region of Uttarakhand State, Chopta is one among the foremost beautiful and pictorial spot from where you’ll get breath-taking view of Himalayan Peaks and its surroundings. Moving ahead, you’ll trek from Tungnath (3680 ft/12070 ft) to Chandrashila.

  • Day-1 Delhi - Haridwar (By Train) - Rishikesh (25kms/45 Mins) +

    In the morning catch AC Shatabdi Express Train for Haridwar at 06:50 hrs. Arrival at Haridwar by 11:25 hrs, here meet our driver and transfer to Rishikesh. Upon arrival at Rishikesh check hotel. within the evening visit Laxman Jhoola, Triveni Ghat etc. Dinner and overnight stay in hotel.

    Rishikesh: Situated at the foothills of Garhwal hills along Ganges, Rishikesh may be a gateway to the important religious places of Badrinath, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Yamunotri. Places of interest includes visit to Bharat Mandir the oldest temple in Rishikesh, Neelkanth Mahadev, this is often believed to be the place where Lord Shiva drank the poison churn out of the cosmic ocean among many other temples. Also visit a number of its many Ashrams: Ashrams are centers for spiritual studies, meditation, Yoga, sacred prayers besides being residential centers for the resident gurus.

  • Day-2 Rishikesh - Ukhimath (175 kms/7-8 hrs) +

    In the morning after an early breakfast drive to Ukhimath via Devprayag and Rudraprayag. One can visit Devprayag (Confluence of Alaknanda & Bhagirathi, from Devprayag the Holy Ganges started), Rudraprayag (Confluence of Alaknanda & Mandakini River). Arrival at Ukhimath by evening. Explore the world . Dinner and overnight stay in Tourist building .

    Ukhimath (1370 mts/4500 ft) is on the opposite side of the Mandakini River Valley from Guptkashi a comparatively short steep walk by foot, or a way longer way by road. Ukhimath is that the winter seat of Kedarnath, also because the winter home of the priest who presides over his worship. After the Kedarnath temple closes for the winter, a movable image of Kedarnath is brought in procession to Ukhimath, where it resides until the Kedarnath temple reopens in late April or early May.

    This picture shows the outer gateway to the temple complex, which isn’t only brightly painted and decorated, but two full stories tall (the wall also is the rear wall of buildings inside). The stones piled at lower left were for a few kind of construction project, which was fully swing once I visited (since summer is that the “slow” season ritually speaking, it made sense for the place to be torn up them. and therefore the nearby buildings are clearly residential, since a lass is visible at upper right.

  • Day-3 Ukhimath - Deoriatal (2438 mts/7998 ft) - Chopta +

    In the morning you’ll see snow clapped Himalayan ranges. After breakfast start your trek to Deoriatal through dense forest of Rhododendron and much of untamed flowers and ferns. The trek will take 3- 4 hrs to succeed in Deoriatal. Explore the world and later trek back to Sari Village (2 kms/1 hrs), from here drive to Chopta. Dinner and overnight stay in tent at Chopta.

  • Day-4 Chopta -Tungnath (3680 ft/12070 ft) - Chandrashila - Chopta +

    After an early breakfast trek to Tungnath with packed lunch. Tungnath is situated at the peak of 3680 mts from the ocean level the very best in India. The trek is three kms upward. Enroute you’ll find lush green meadows and you’ll see the whole range of snow clapped Himalayas. Upon arrival at Tungnath Temple and visit the temple. After relax one further one kms trek to Chandrashila peak. Later trek back to Chopta for dinner and overnight stay.

  • Day-5 Chopta - Haridwar - Delhi +

    In the morning after breakfast drive to Haridwar and from here catch AC Shatabdi Express Train for Delhi at 18:05 hrs. Arrival at Delhi by 22:45 hrs.
