The Paro Tiger Nest Tour is a memorable 4 days expedition to the Himalayan valley of Paro, Bhutan. One of the most beautiful and spiritually important places in Bhutan, Paro is famous due to its spectacular landscapes, ancient monasteries and the harmonious Buddhist culture.

  • Day-1 Welcome to Bhutan, Arrival in Paro +

    Land at Paro International Airport that is rated as one of the most scenic airports in the world with a backdrop of the great Himalayan mountains. Our representative will welcome you and take you to your hotel.
    Once you have checked in and relaxed, you may start exploring the beautiful Paro Valley that boasts of traditional Bhutanese architecture and serene environment.
    Go to Rinpung Dzong, one of the most popular fortresses and monasteries in Bhutan Rinpung Dzong is considered to be the most beautiful wooden building and has great spiritual significance.
    National Museum of Bhutan It is situated above the Paro Dzong where the museum is stocked with ancient objects and traditional costumes, religious paintings and historical exhibitions that highlight the Bhutanese culture. In the evening spend a relaxed time in the local markets in Paro where you get to shop around handicrafts, fabrics, souvenirs and other traditional Bhutanese products. Spend the night in Paro.
     

  • Day-2 Tiger Nest Monastery Field Trip +

    Then have breakfast and go on the field trip to the most renowned site of Bhutan, the Tiger’s Nest Monastery (Taktsang Monastery). Tiger Nest, which is dramatically located on a cliffside overlooking Paro Valley, is supposed to be the seat of meditation of Guru Padmasambhava who brought Buddhism to Bhutan.The walk to the monastery is through some lovely pine forests with colorful prayer flags and it provides marvelous panoramic views of the valley and the mountains. The increase is estimated at an average of 4-5 hours round trip based on personal pace. There are also horses that are used during a portion of the uphill ride. Arriving at the monastery, visit the holy temples, meditation caves and prayer halls and feel the attentive spiritual atmosphere. Then, go back to Paro and have a rest at the hotel after the excursion. Spend the night in Paro.

  • Day-3 Paro Sightseeing Tour +

    Having breakfast, keep on sightseeing the cultural sites of Paro. One of the oldest and most holy temples in Bhutan, Kyichu Lhakhang, was constructed in the 7 th century. The temple is regarded as spiritual and it has serene gardens. The historic fortress ruins were called Drukgyel Dzong, which had been used to protect Bhutan against the invasion of Tibet. During clear days, tourists are able to see spectacular views of Mount Jomolhari.
    Farmhouse Experience Farmhouse Experience is the traditional Bhutan village life, visiting a local farmhouse, where you can mingle with locals and get to know about Bhutanese traditions and lifestyle. You can spend your evening in the local cafes, taste Bhutanese food and buy souvenirs. Overnight in Paro in the hotel.
     

  • Day-4 Paro to departure +

    Following breakfast takes a little bit of leisure time in the serene Himalayan environment. Subsequently, leave the hotel and fly to Paro International Airport where you will continue your flight. Take away memorable moments of the spiritual monasteries of Bhutan, picturesque valleys and hospitability.

FAQ's

The weather is favorable and the mountain views are clear in spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) which is the best time to visit.

The increase is fairly demanding yet bearable to most travellers of average fitness. Part of the route has horses.

Bhutan does not need a visa to be visited by Indian citizens. Entry permits however require a valid passport or voter ID card.

Bring walking shoes that are comfortable, water bottles, sunscreen, sunglasses, warm clothes and personal medicines.

Photography is permitted outside the monastery, however, photography in prayer halls can be banned. The tourists are expected to adhere to the rules of their destinations and observe religious practices.
