Day-1 Visit Bodh Gaya -The Land of Enlightenment
Reach the Buddhist sacred place of Bodh Gaya where Prince Siddhartha reached enlightenment and was transformed into the Buddha. Once the hotel is checked in, the Mahabodhi Temple Complex, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site should be visited.
Take some quiet time in meditating under the sacred Bodhi Tree which has been a direct descendant of the same tree that Buddha meditated under. Visit Thai, Japanese, Bhutanese, Tibetan, and Sri Lankan monasteries with different architecture. Serene atmosphere is developed by evening prayers and chants. Overnight stay in Bodh Gaya.

Day-2 Bodh Gaya - Rajgir - Nalanda
Breakfast and then drive to Rajgir, a significant site where Buddha used to have many seasons of monsoon teaching his disciples. Go to Griddhakuta (Vulture Peak) where most of the Mahayana sutras were taught.Keep on going to Nalanda where the ancient Nalanda University, one of the earliest residential universities in the world, is located. Stroll through the great ruins of monasteries and temples and wonder what a life of learning must have been here. Go to Nalanda Archaeological Museum and see statues and manuscripts. Go back to Bodh Gaya evening. Overnight stay.

Day-3 Bodh Gaya - Varanasi
After having breakfast, leave Varanasi, one of the oldest cities of the world and a religious centre of many religions. Go and stay in your hotel and rest. Visit the Ganga Aarti in the evenings in the River Ganges. Although the ceremony is non-Buddhist, its significance is the common spirituality and devotion of all the Indians. Day-4 Varanasi - Sarnath
Breakfast and proceed to Sarnath, one of the most important locations of Buddhism. It is here that Buddha gave his initial sermon that launched the Wheel of Dharma into motion.
See Dhamek Stupa, Chaukhandi Stupa and the ruins of ancient monasteries and the Sarnath Museum which occupies the Ashokan Lion Capital. Meditate in a monastery or a garden, and take in the peaceful energy of the place. Go back to Varanasi and stay over.

Day-5 Varanasi - Kushinagar
Early to Kushinagar, where Lord Buddha received Mahaparinirvana (final liberation).
See the Mahaparinirvana Temple, with its reclining image of Buddha, and the Ramabhar Stupa, which is assumed to be the place of cremation. The mood in this place is grave and contemplative and it provides pilgrims with an opportunity to reflect on impermanence and enlightenment. Kushinagar stayed overnight.

Day-6 Lumbini to Kushinagar.
In the morning, head to the birthplace of Lord Buddha Lumbini and pay attention to the Indian pilgrimage movement and border-area monasteries, which are also subject to traveling restrictions. Explore consecrated ponds, monasteries and meditation spots that are associated with the journey of Queen Maya Devi. Engage in entire time meditation or guided meditations. Overnight at Lumbini or Kushinagar (depending on the conditions of routes).
