About This Tour
The Remote Ladakh and Zanskar Valley Tour is an adventure to one of the most remote and spiritually enriched areas of the Indian Himalayas. Well off the beaten track of Ladakh routes, Zanskar Valley is a place of high passes, deep gorges, ancient monasteries and hardy people who are formed by the mountains and the desert. The trip is aimed at a tourist searching for virgin landscapes, cultural richness, and a feeling of actual isolation. It is not luxury in the traditional meaning of the term but of space, stillness, and connection to nature, history, and self. If you want to experience a rare and unique experience, you can book your Remote Ladakh and Zanskar Valley Tour Packages through the website of Namaskar India Tour.

-
Day-1 Arrival in Leh
Reach Leh, the capital of the high altitude in Ladakh. On arrival, you are put in a hotel or guesthouse. The initial day is deliberately gradual to enable one to get acclimated at the altitude. Later in the afternoon, go on a relaxing tour of the Leh town, various local markets and see how life is done there. Should energy allow, visit Shanti Stupa with a panorama of the Indus Valley, and the mountains that surround it. Overnight and dinner at Leh.
-
Day-2 Leh to Lamayuru - Zanskar Gateway
Breakfast, drive to Lamayuru Monastery, one of the oldest and the most picturesque monasteries of Ladakh, which is located in the context of other-worldly moon-like scenery.
Along the way, observe spectacular rock-carvings and ancient villages on the banks of the Indus River. Visit Lamayuru Monastery and engage with monks in order to learn about its spiritual meaning. Night in Lamayaru or guesthouses nearby, in total silence and a starry sky.
-
Day-3 Lamayuru to Padum (Zanskar Valley)
It is a day of the tour, which is one of the most picturesque and adventurous. Start the long journey up to Zanskar Valley, crossing remote passes, and narrow side mountain roads hewn out of cliffs, after breakfast. The scenery is more dramatic--deep gorges, turquoise rivers, and lonely villages. In the evening, reach Padum, the capital of Zanskar. Stay in a no-frills guesthouse or homestay. Overnight and dinner at Padum.
-
Day-4 Padum - Zanskar Monasteries and Village life
The cultural centre of Zanskar after breakfast. Go to the Karsha Monastery, the largest of its type in the area, and set up on a hill side that looks over the valley. Go on to Stongdey Monastery, which is a good place to relax and get spiritual peace. It is followed by a later morning stroll through neighboring villages to see old stone houses, barley fields, and life as defined by extreme winters. The day is a rare glimpse at how communities survive when they are alone. Overnight stay in Padum.
-
Day-5 Padum - Phugtal Area
Breakfast, then ride to the Phugtal area, where there is one of the most isolated of Ladakh monasteries, the one cut out of a cliff. Based on details of road and trails, stop at a pointing place or village along the monastery road.
Get acquainted with the lifestyle of monks, isolation at different seasons, and with spirituality. Return to Padum by evening. Have a relaxing dinner and think about the richness of the trip. Overnight stay in Padum.

Day-6 Departure
Eat early and start going back to Leh (or proceed on with your scheduled travel). The tour would be remembered with the amazing experiences of harsh landscapes, deep silence, and a unique cultural experience in one of the last really isolated areas in the world.
