  • Day-1 Paro and Welcome to the Land of Happiness +

    Reach one of the most scenic mountain airports in the world, the Paro International Airport. Our representative will warmly receive you and take you to the hotel. Check-in, relax, and start exploring the serene environment of the Paro Valley. Tour to Rinpung Dzong, which is a beautiful fortress- monastery with its traditional Bhutanese architecture, serene courtyards and religious importance. The rich spiritual heritage of Bhutan, ancient artifacts, traditional art and Buddhist culture are found in the National Museum of Bhutan. Go for a peaceful stroll in the local streets in Paro in the evening and get to taste the Himalayan serenity.Spend night in Paro.
     

  • Day-2 Tiger Nest Monastery Spiritual Field trip +

    Following breakfast, take the spiritual tour to the world renowned Tiger Nest Monastery (Taktsang Monastery). Tiger Nest is the most sacred monastery in Bhutan, and a major tourist attraction to all Buddhists, who visit it on a pilgrimage mission high up on a hill overlooking the Paro Valley. It is said that Guru Padmasambhava flew to this place on the back of a tigress and meditated here, blessed the valley, and spread Buddhism in Bhutan.
    The climb to the monastery is through beautiful pine forests, prayer wheels and colorful prayer flags, which make the climb a peaceful and meditative experience. The hike will typically require between 4 and 5 hours as a round trip depending on speed. As soon as you arrive at the monastery, visit the sacred temples, meditation caves and prayer halls as you immerse yourself in the spiritual tranquility of the location. Take time to meditate, appreciate the serene environment and stunning sceneries of the Himalayan valley. The excursion is followed by going back to Paro and resting in the hotel.   • Day-3 Cultural and Spiritual Adventure of Paro +

    In the morning, resume sightseeing of the spiritual and cultural sites of Paro. One of the oldest and the most sacred temples in Bhutan is Kyichu Lhakhang constructed during the 7th century. The temple is believed to be very sacred and is paid a visit by pilgrims who want to get blessings and tranquility.
    Drukgyel Dzong Visit the ruins of the ancient fortress which used to defend Bhutan against any invasion and beautiful views of Mount Jomolhari on a clear day. Explore the life of the Bhutanese village and get to know about their habits, traditions and spirituality. Spend the night unwinding in the serene Himalayan setting or have some meditation and introspection. Spend the night in Paro.
     

  • Day-4 Leave Paro Day +

    The day starts with breakfast followed by some leisure time to experience the beauty and peace of Bhutan. Check out of the hotel later, and proceed to Paro International Airport to continue with your journey. Visiting time is best in the spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) as the weather is pleasant and mountain views clear.

The increase is quite moderate and befitting an average fitness traveller. Part of the uphill route has horses to be used.
