The hike to the legendary Tiger Nest Monastery (also known as Taktsang Monastery), high atop a cliffside overlooking Paro Valley is one of the largest attractions of the tour. The journey will also include breathtaking Dochula Pass, serene Phobjikha Valley and picturesque Himalayan trails to travellers.

  • Day-1 Arrival in Paro - Transfer to Thimphu +

    We will pick you up at the Airport of Paro by the Namaskar India Tour. Start your scenic trip to Thimphu, the beautiful capital of Bhutan. Experience the spectacular sights of the rivers, forests and Himalayan mountains on the drive. Local sightseeing after check-in and relaxation in the hotel. Buddha Dordenma Statue A giant golden statue of Buddha that overlooks the Thimphu Valley and provides a panoramic view of the mountains.The Chorten is one of the holiest Buddhist sites in Bhutan that is enclosed with calm prayer ceremonies. Go to local markets, cafes and handicraft stores in the evening. Overnight in Thimphu.

  • Day-2 Thimphu Sightseeing and Adventure exploration +

    Start sightseeing in Thimphu after breakfast. Tashichho Dzong is a great fortress-monastery with Bhutanese architecture and cultural heritage. The Motithang Takin Preserve is the refuge of the national animal of Bhutan. National Institute of Zorig Chusum is the traditional arts and crafts of Bhutan such as wood carving, painting and embroidery. Then have fun on the short hiking trails and nature walks later around the picturesque hills surrounding Thimphu. Evening: Have free time, you can go to local shops and cafes. Spent the night in Thimphu.
     

  • Day-3 Thimphu to Punakha via Dochula Pass +

    Following breakfast, visit Punakha, through the picturesque Dochula Pass which is one of the most stunning mountain passes in Bhutan and is adorned by colorful prayer flags and 108 memorial chortens. Visit Dochula Pass and have panoramic views of snow-capped Himalayan mountain ranges. On reaching Punakha, go to Punakha Dzong, which is a beautiful riverside fortress-monastery situated at the head of the Pho Chiu and Mo Chiu rivers. Stroll on one of the longest suspension bridges in Bhutan with the scenic river and valley views. There are optional activities such as river rafting and village walks that can be enjoyed as well depending on weather conditions and preference of the traveller. Overnight in Punakha.
     

  • Day-4 Punakha to Phobjikha Valley - Nature and Scenes Adventure +

    Following breakfast, take a drive to the gorgeous Phobjikha Valley, which is one of the most scenic glacial valleys in Bhutan, with its untouched natural beauty and serene environment. The trip will be an experience; enjoy the beautiful mountain roads, forests and scenic landscapes. Gangtey Monastery is a key Buddhist monastery that comes in the scenic valley environment.
    Hike across the picturesque walking paths of pine forest, open meadows and Bhutanese villages of old. Phobjikha Valley is also known as the winter home of the rare black-necked cranes. Spend a relaxing evening in nature and mountain scenery. Spend the night in Phobjikha Valley.
     

  • Day-5 Paro- Tiger Nest Trek Phobjikha to Paro +

    Post breakfast, head back to Paro and continue with the thrilling adventure to the famed Tiger Nest Monastery (Taktsang Monastery). Tiger Nest is the most renowned adventure and spiritual destination in Bhutan located dramatically on a cliffside about 3,120 meters above sea level. The scenic walk goes through pine forests, prayer flags and trail mountain passes that provide spectacular views of paro valley. When you arrive at the monastery visit the holy temples, meditation caves and magnificent view points. Following the visit, go back to the hotel and rest. Spend the night in Paro.
     

  • Day-6 Leaving Paro +

    Spend time in a serene Himalayan environment after having breakfast. You can do a brief stroll in the Paro Valley or rest prior to departure. Thereafter, leave the hotel and head to Paro International Airport to continue with your trip. Take home a memorable journey of adventure, scenic beauty and magical landscapes of Bhutan.

Yes, Bhutan is a wonderful place to plan adventure trips that provide adventure seekers with trekking, hiking, mountain drives, scenic valleys, and nature trails.

The hike is not very difficult but it could be done by travellers of average fitness. Part of the uphill journey is by the use of horses.

Spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) are the best seasons to visit Bhutan due to the pleasant weather and clear mountain views.

Bring warm layered, trekking/ walking shoes, sunscreens, sunglasses, rain gear, personal medications and water bottles.

Bhutan does not need a visa for Indian citizens. Nonetheless, entry permits are necessitated by a valid passport or voter ID card.
