Following breakfast, make a round of the many sacred sites of Bumthang in the spiritual centre of Bhutan, where Guru Rinpoche is very much associated. Visit the one of the oldest temples in Bhutan, Jambay Lhakhang, which was built in 7th century AD by Tibetan King Songtsen Gampo. Next, visit Tamshing Lhakhang, the building established by the great Buddhist saint, Pema Lingpa and the famous paintings and religious artifacts. Now come to Gangtey where you can visit one of the most renowned Buddhist monasteries, "Gangtey Monastery" (also called "Gangtey Goemba"). The beautiful Phobjikha Valley looks down on the monastery, which itself boasts superb views of the surrounding scenery. At night, then, take a quiet, tranquil stroll down the valley, which remains a sacred place and time of natural beauty and tranquility. In the winter seasons, the special visitors of the valley are the black-necked cranes from Tibet. Enjoy a relaxing evening in this peaceful location, perhaps a few minutes of jawfall relaxation. Overnight stay in Gangtey.

When you arrive in Paro, you will have to stay at one of the hotels and unwind. Later head to the marvelous Paro Dzong (Rinpung Dzong), one of the best specimens of traditional architecture of Bhutan. Follow to the National Museum of Bhutan where the fascinating collection of antiques, paintings of religious monuments, textiles, weapons and cultural exhibits will showcase Bhutan's rich heritage.
Visit Paro night market in the evening and buy some souvenirs which are locally made items such as prayer wheels, handmade cloths, wooden carvings or simply wonderful handicraft items. Stay with the locals and enjoy a night's rest in Paro.

  • Day-7 Visit Tiger's Nest Monastery +

Enjoy breakfast afterward and then the best part of the tour—the visit to the world famous Taktsang Monastery (Tiger's Nest Monastery). Bedrocked in a dramatic position at the edge of a cliff that lies some 900 metres above the Paro Valley, this sacred monastery is one of the holiest places of pilgrimage in Bhutan. The location is one of the holiest in Bhutan as Guru Rinpoche is believed to have flown here on the back of a tigress and meditated here.
The walk is through stunning pine forests draped in colourful prayer flags and provides terrific panoramic views of the way along. Rest after some quiet hours at the monastery and head back down to the enchanting valley and back to your hotel. Stay with the locals and enjoy a night's rest in Paro.

  • Day-8 Explore Paro +

Following the breakfast further explore spiritual and cultural treasures in Paro. Visit Kyichu Lhakhang, the oldest (and holiest) temple to be built in the 7th Century by King Songtsen Gampo. This is a sacred temple and is closely related to the dissemination of Buddhism in the Himalayas and China and is still a very important place for pilgrimage for Buddhists. Eventually you will get to Drukgyel Dzong, the ancient fortress where Bhutan's victory over the Tibetan invaders is honoured. From the surrounding land enjoy amazing views on the sunny days to Mount Jomolhari. Then head on to explore the idyllic Bhutanese villages where you can see the lifestyle of the people, meet friendly people and visit the handicraft shops.
