• Day-1 Arrival in Leh +

  On arrival at Leh airport, you will be met by the tour representative, who will help you with the transfer to the hotel. Leh is at a very high elevation and as a result, it is a day of relaxation and acclimatization. Once you have checked in, get some sleep and enable your body to get used to the mountain life. During the evening you can go on a leisurely stroll around the surrounding market place where you can find a variety of traditional Ladakhi handicrafts including prayer flags and souvenirs. • Day-2 Leh Monasteries and Culture Sites +

  Breakfast and then start sightseeing the cultural attractions of Leh. Tour Shey Palace that was formerly the kingly home of Ladakhi kings and enjoys stunning scenery of the valley. Proceed to Thiksey Monastery, one of the biggest monasteries of the Ladakh with its wonderful architecture and a huge statue of Maitreya Buddha. Afterwards sightsee Hemis Monastery, which has been the richest and most renowned monastery in the area and has a rich array of artifacts and murals. Go back to Leh in the evening and have the relaxing atmosphere of the town. Overnight stay in Leh.

   

• Day-3 Leh - Nubra Valley +

  The breakfast drive will be to Nubra Valley through the most popular Khardung La Pass which is also one of the highest motorable roads in the world. The trip takes breathtaking scenery of mountains covered with snow and rocky terrain. Once you arrive at Nubra Valley, find accommodation in your camp or hotel and rest. During the afternoon, visit the sand dunes of Hunder where the visitors can observe the rare specimens of the double-humped Bactrian camels. The area of the valley with its dunes having a desert-like appearance and the mountains around it makes the landscape a marvel. Nubra Valley Overnight.

   

• Day-4 Nubra Valley - Turtuk Village +

  Breakfast, and drive to Turtuk, a beautiful village situated near the India-Pakistan border. Turtuk is culturally distinct to the other parts of Ladakh because it is the home to the Balti community whose language and civilization are unique. Stroll along the streets of the village, observe old stone and wood houses, and communicate with the native inhabitants to get to know the unusual way of life. The village is also bordered with beautiful apricot orchards and mountainous scenery. Get back to Nubra Valley in the evening. Nubra Valley overnight.

   

• Day-5 Nubra Valley - Pangong Lake +

  Breakfast and then start with the trip to Pangong Lake which is one of the most popular and beautiful lakes in Ladakh. The road goes along mountain tracks and isolated scenery high in the Alps. Having arrived at Pangong Lake, enjoy the magnificent scenery of the transparent blue water with dramatic mountains enclosed. The lake extends along the India-China border and then it varies in colors during the day based on the sunlight. Take a walk by the lake and have a fine time there. Night in the camps around Pangong Lake.

   

• Day-6 Pangong Lake - Leh +

  Have breakfast and then have a morning sightseeing of the Pangong Lake and then start the journey back to Leh. The route again provides amazing scenery of rugged terrain and mountain passes of Ladakh. Arriving in Leh spend the night in the hotel and rest after the expedition. The night is at liberty to shop in the markets or even go to the cafes close to the market. Overnight stay in Leh.

   

• Day-7 Nomadic Culture Experience +

  Bright and early after breakfast, make an excursion to regions where it is known that nomadic people live and pasture their animals at particular times of the year. Such nomads classically rely on animals like yaks, sheep and pashmina goats to make their living. Tourists are able to know about their primitive tents, life and how they have managed to survive the difficult weather of the Himalayas. The experience provides more insight into the cultural diversity and hardiness of the people of Ladakh. Return to Leh in the evening. Overnight stay in Leh.

   

• Day-8 Leh Exploration +

  In the morning, after having breakfast, keep on sightseeing Leh and its environs. Explore Leh Palace that commands a view of the town and has panoramic views of Indus valley. Another place to visit is the Shani stupa which is a calm structure erected to enhance peace and spirituality. The day offers the chance to enjoy the fusion of Tibetan Buddhism and Himalayan sceneries of Ladakh. Pass the night trying the local markets whereby hand woven wool products, prayer wheels and traditional jewelry can be bought. Overnight stay in Leh.

   

• Day-9 Departure +
