Best Time to Visit Rourkela

The best time to visit Rourkela is from October to March when the weather is pleasant and the conditions are conducive to exploring the city's attractions, including its temples, waterfalls, dams, parks, and more. Outdoor sightseeing, nature walks, trekking and watching scenic views around Mandira Dam and Khandadhar Waterfall are best during the winter months. The waterfalls are especially beautiful during the monsoon season (July to September), as the surrounding hills and forests turn into lush green areas, though during the rainy period, it is sometimes hard to conduct outdoor activities. During the summer months (April–June), temperatures are high and dry and sightseeing is not so pleasant.
