About Panchmahal

Panchmahal is a richly cultural area of Gujarat with old forts, old temples, forest areas, and association with kings and tribes of Gujarat. The region is named after the historical Panchmahal area and is headquartered at Godhra and has the nearby town of Halol with several important heritage and nature sites.
The Champaner-Pavagadh Archaeological Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site that is one of the most amazing places in the region, with historic mosques, temples, stepwells, fortifications and other monuments showing centuries of cultural and architectural development. The Kalika Mata Temple at Pavagadh Hill is also a place of great importance to the pilgrims, as it is located at the very top of the hill.
Panchmahal is a blend of history, spirituality and nature. They can see ancient monuments, go for a walk through the forest, visit a temple and learn about traditional villages and the local culture. Best Time to Visit Panchmahal

Panchmahal is a great place to visit from October to March, as the weather is comparatively cooler and pleasant for visiting heritage monuments, temples and outdoor attractions. The winters are especially conducive for visiting Champaner and Pavagadh and its surrounding landscapes.
The summer season (April – June) can be very warm, especially in the afternoon, so it is best to go sightseeing at the beginning or end of the day. During the monsoon season (July – September), the surrounding hills and forest become green with rain, although heavy rains may affect outdoor travel.
