Jaipur

The capital of Rajasthan, Jaipur, is a vibrant city with royal history, imposing forts, colourful markets and unique pink architecture. Established in 1727 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, Jaipur is one of India's first planned cities and is also known as the Pink City. October to March is the best time to visit Jaipur as the weather is pleasant and comfortable for sightseeing and outdoor pursuits. Forts, palaces, markets and heritage sites are especially appealing during the winter months. Summers are very hot (April-June) and the monsoon season (July-Sep) is rainy, and the temperature is comparatively cool.
