Chopta is also known as the “Mini Switzerland of Uttarakhand” as it lies in the Garhwal Himalayas and is a major trekking and pilgrimage base. The area is fringed with forests of rhododendron, oak and deodar trees that give this area a very scenic look in spring when the Rhododendrons are in bloom.
