Day-1 Arrive in Guwahati and are transferred to Phuentsholing
On arrival at Guwahati Airport/railway station, pick up your representative, and set off on a scenic trip to Phuentsholing, the gateway to Bhutan. The drive takes the visitor through stunning scenery, forests, tea gardens and pretty towns of Assam till the Indo-Bhutan border. Take up the necessary immigration procedures and come into Bhutan. Once you've made it to your hotel you can unwind, enjoying the tranquil atmosphere. At night visit the local market and experience the unique culture of India and Bhutan. Overnight at Phuentsholing.

Day-2 Go from Phuentsholing to Thimphu
Post breakfast drive towards the beautiful capital city of Bhutan, ‘Thimphu’. The road to the scenic mountain is winding, with waterfalls, forests and beautiful valleys all along the way, providing stunning views during the trip. On arrival, check in to your hotel, have some fun. Later, head to the most important landmarks of the city like the Memorial Chorten, Buddha Dordenma Statue and Tashichho Dzong. After the evening, visit the local handicraft shops, cafés and the local traditional markets and then head back to the hotel. An overnight stay in Thimphu.

Day-3 Thimphu to Punakha via Dochula Pass (4830 m)
Following breakfast head towards Punakha via one of the high mountain passes, Dochula, which is one of the most scenic passes in Bhutan. During sunny days, it is possible to see the snow covered mountains from here with a panoramic view. Breathe in this incredible place, the 108 memorial chortens, before taking the next leg of the journey. On reaching Punakha, visit the magnificent Punakha Dzong which is located on the confluence of the Pho Chhu and Mo Chhu. Later on, explore Chimi Lhakhang - the Temple of Fertility which is surrounded by beautiful rice fields and peaceful countryside. Stay in Punakka for the night.

Day-4 Punakha to Paro
After breakfast head off for the stunning valley of Paro with plenty of wonderful views of the mountains, rivers and traditional villages of Bhutan. On arrival, check in to your hotel, have some fun. Later, visit the impressive, beautiful Bhutanese architecture, and historical, Paro Dzong. Visitors can then visit the National Museum where they can enjoy the rich cultural heritage, traditional costumes, ancient artefacts and historical collections of Bhutan. Take a stroll through the town of Paro in the evening and taste the true taste of Bhutanese cuisine. Stay over in Paro.

Day-5 Hike up to the Tiger's Nest Monastery
Beginning of the journey of Assam Bhutan Tour with early morning walk to the world revered Taktsang Monastery (Tiger's nest). It is the most sacred monastery which is located dramatically on a cliff about 900 metres above the Paro Valley. This trail meanders through quiet pine forests, embellished by colourful prayer flags and with breathtaking views down the valleys. Take time now to wander around the monastery, and enjoy its unique architecture, beautiful and relaxing surroundings before heading back to Paro. Come back to the hotel to unwind and rant about the great hike. Overnight stay in Paro.

Day-6 From Paro to Phuentsholing
Following breakfast, I drove back to Phuentsholing with one last chance to be caught by Bhutan's beautiful and unspoiled nature and serene villages. As soon as you arrive, register at your hotel and enjoy the evening. One can buy souvenirs, traditional market handicrafts, prayer flags and Bhutanese products/gift items at the local markets or at the time of their visit. Phuentsholing being a relaxed end of your memorable Bhutan journey, would be a pleasant one. Badakerei stay in Phuentsholing overnight.

Day-7 Leave Phuentsholing
Breakfast and check out from the hotel to drive back to Guwahati heading onwards. Take a visit to the sacred Kamakhya temple which is one of the most sacred pilgrimage centers in India located on the top of Nilachal Hill overlooking the Brahmaputra river, if time allows.
