Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for the sightseeing of Delhi. The city of Delhi is a cosmopolitan capital, a heritage of the eight cities that have succeeded each other over the past millennia. In Old Delhi, the former Mughal capital, you will discover the Red Fort (outside), then stroll through the Chandni Chowk market by rickshaw (shops are closed on Sundays) and visit Gandhi’s House (closed on Mondays), now a museum in his memory. Drive past India Gate to Rashtrapati Bhawan (President’s House) and visit the Sikh temple and New Delhi. In the evening, transfer to Delhi airport to take your flight to Udaipur. Upon arrival at Udaipur airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our driver/representative, who will give you a detailed presentation of the itinerary and your upcoming cycling tour. Then, transfer to your hotel for check-in. Enjoy a delicious dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Breakfast at the hotel. Begin your day with a 3-hour guided cycling tour around Udaipur. Discover the city of Udaipur, the White City.
City sightseeing: Visit the palace overlooking the lake – the City Palace, 500 meters long, is an immense labyrinth of rooms, halls, courtyards, gardens, and terraces. It was built during the reign of Udai Singh in the 16th century. Today, part of it has been transformed into a museum, another part into a hotel (the Shiv Niwas), and the remaining section is still inhabited by the descendants of the Maharana. From the palace, enjoy a splendid view of Lake Pichola and its two islands, including the one on which the famous Lake Palace is built.
Boat ride on Lake Pichola (in case of insufficient water levels, we reserve the right to cancel the boat ride in Udaipur), a freshwater artificial lake created in 1362, named after the nearby village of Picholi. It is one of the many contiguous lakes that have developed over the centuries in and around the famous city of Udaipur. Then visit Saheliyon ki Bari, meaning “Garden of the Maidens,” built by Maharana Sangram Singh in the 18th century for the royal women. This afternoon (time permitting), visit a miniature painting house: the art of miniature painting is an ancient technique that originated in North India. A royal art, the rulers of the time used it to record their exploits. The most prolific center of these paintings is located in Udaipur, Rajasthan. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for Kumbalgarh and its fort, one of the most important in Mewar. Built in the 15th century on a hill at 1,100 meters altitude, it is very difficult to access. That is why it has been captured only once. The fort is famous for its imposing walls, which extend over 36 km and constitute the second-longest continuous wall in the world after the Great Wall of China. Explore the various palaces, temples, and stepwells located within the fort complex. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

After breakfast, departure towards Jojawar. Check-in at a small palace in Jojawar, which is now a charming heritage hotel. You will discover its small palace, which is still the residence of a local lord today. The village is also home to the Rebari tribes and their camel herds, offering the opportunity to experience a still-preserved rural Rajasthan. Dinner and overnight stay at the heritage hotel.

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure by vehicle to Jodhpur. Arrival and visit of the “Blue City.” Jodhpur is dominated by Mehrangarh Fort, the “Fort of Majesty,” featuring the harem, the sumptuous reception hall, the cradle room, the curious small palace of mirrors, and the royal palanquin hall with the intricately carved silver howdah. You will also visit Jaswant Thada, a beautiful white marble mausoleum built in memory of Maharaja Jaswant Singh, known as the “Little Taj Mahal of Rajasthan.” Stroll through the bazaar around the Clock Tower, where artisans and merchants of all kinds operate. The market stalls overflow with sari fabrics, spices, grains, fruits, and vegetables. Even if you choose not to visit Jodhpur, this area is ideal for relaxing. Next to the hotel, there is an NGO where village children learn computer skills and village women practice block printing art. You can also participate and contribute to social activities, making your visit enriching. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel. Breakfast at the hotel. Then, departure to Pushkar, a small town set in a stunning location on the banks of one of India’s most sacred lakes, nestled among the hills. Visit the only temple in India dedicated to Brahma, the Hindu creator god. Explore the local market. Check-in at the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

After breakfast, departure for the small village of Shyampura, a little off-the-beaten-path village, little known and off the tourist maps. Traditional welcome by the villagers and check-in at the eco-lodge. Dinner and overnight stay at the eco-lodge.

Breakfast before heading out to meet the villagers and discover rural life. We will visit the public school to interact with the children and learn more about their education and aspirations. We recommend bringing school supplies such as pens, pencils, candies, and books to distribute to the students. Your generous gesture will be greatly appreciated (visits are not possible during school exams and on public holidays). We will continue our village exploration by meeting a family of artisans who make bracelets and a cobbler. Then, we will explore the old town by TUK-TUK, discovering its lively market and havelis, and strolling through a fruit and vegetable market, an unforgettable experience. Return to the Eco Lodge for lunch. In the late afternoon, we will head to a farm to meet a family of farmers. We will visit their farm and enjoy a generously offered masala tea. In the evening, you will be invited to experience local cuisine at a villager’s home, observe their cooking techniques, and share a friendly dinner. Overnight at the Eco Lodge.

After breakfast, head to the magnificent Jaipur, the “Pink City,” capital of Rajasthan, founded in the 18th century. It is one of the most colorful and picturesque cities in India. Departure for the visit of Amber Fort. During the Mughal era, the region had to be ready for war at any moment. Amber was the residence of the Maharajas. Seeing the defensive forts surrounding the area, one can imagine the power of the ruler. Climb and descend the ramparts by jeep (if there are more than 4 participants). Visit the palace with its mirror-studded rooms and the old harem, a true labyrinth. Today, you will visit the textile block printing workshops, where you can have your clothes made during the day. The art of block printing: block printing on wood is a manual printing technique, an ancestral craftsmanship of Rajasthan in northern India. Check-in at the hotel. In the afternoon, visit the astronomical observatory, Jantar Mantar, a collection of 19 astronomical instruments built by the Rajput king Sawai Jai Singh II, the founder of Jaipur, Rajasthan. The monument was completed in 1734. It includes the largest stone sundial in the world and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Next, pass by the famous Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds) with its red façade, and the “Pink City,” the residential and business district. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Early in the morning, depart for a cycling tour through the historic streets of Jaipur’s old city. Then, depart by road for Agra, a prime destination for a trip to India, as it is a place where the essence of love reigns. Famous during the Mughal emperors’ reign, the “Taj City” was once the capital of the Mughal Empire. The Mughals were passionate about architecture and built some of the most impressive monuments in the world. Check-in at the hotel. Then, discover the Red Fort, the residence of the Mughal emperors. The fortress stands on the banks of the Yamuna River and is surrounded by walls 20 to 33 meters high and 2,500 meters in perimeter. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Activity: 1 to 3 hours of cycling in the city of Jaipur.

At sunrise, visit the Taj Mahal (closed on fridays). On the banks of the Yamuna River, Emperor Shah Jahan had the Taj Mahal built in memory of his beloved wife. It is the most perfect jewel of Indo-Persian art and is part of the World Heritage Wonders. It truly represents the story of a great love. It has a magical charm; the rectangular pool lined with cypress trees reflects the image of the monument. Return to the hotel for breakfast. Continue the visit of the Itimad Ud Daula Tomb, the first Mughal building in white marble to also extensively use the principle of pietra dura. At the end of the visit, depart for Delhi. Upon arrival in Delhi, transfer to the hotel and check-in. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
