Golden Triangle Tour India stands as one of the premier and culturally enriched experiences in the country, ensuring a perfect balance of history, heritage, and vibrant local life. Traditionally covering Delhi, Agra, and Jaipur, this extended itinerary is wonderful for visitors in search of an in-depth exploration of the royal heritage of Rajasthan, for it includes the striking cities of Bikaner and Sikar.
Begin your tour in Delhi, the bustling capital of India, in a land where history coexists with modernity. Here, behold the majestic sight of the Red Fort, go rickshaw-ing along the colorful lanes of Chandni Chowk, and relax by the calm aura of Gurudwara Bangla Sahib. The India Gate and the royal colonial architecture on Rajpath shouldn’t be missed either. And if in Delhi you are craving for a bite, then spicy chaats, butter chicken, and famous parathas of Old Delhi should be on your list.
Get to Agra with the view of catching the Taj Mahal at sunrise, a classic symbol of eternal love and listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Also, tour the mighty Agra Fort while you take in the beautiful view of the river from Mehtab Bagh across to the Taj. Agra treats visitors with Mughlai flavor combos: kebabs, mutton korma, and the famous `sweet` petha.
In Jaipur, the Pink City, observe the architectural craftsmanship of Amber Fort the City Palace, and the astronomical marvel of Jantar Mantar. Get lost in the colorful bazaars teeming with textiles, jewelry, and handicrafts. Jaipur cooking is robust and fiery; don’t miss trying dal baati churma, ghewar and laal maas.
Travel west to Bikaner, which is famous for its more well-preserved Junagarh Fort with decorated havelis and the very unique Maa Karni Temple, which is home to thousands of exalted rats. From here, your road trip ends at Sikar, which has fresco-laden havelis and rural charm. Have a relish of Rajasthani thali and local sweets epitomizing the culinary legacy of this land.
The Golden Triangle Tour India, with Bikaner and Sikar in the itinerary, is the extraordinary journey through the very heart of royal history, spiritual richness, and vibrant culture of India.
Duration:7 Days / 6 Nights
The Golden Triangle is one of the most fascinating circuits in India. It is located in the northern region and covers three historic cities: Delhi, Agra, and Jaipur. New Delhi, the capital of the Republic of India and seat of the government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi, is the second most populous metropolis in the country. Agra is renowned for being the home of the Taj Mahal. Jaipur is the capital of Rajasthan, the largest state in the country, whose name refers to the Land of the Kings.
Our journey to India is about to begin. Our first destination is Delhi, the most populous city in the country, a unique place in the world that perfectly represents the extraordinary richness and contrasts of this incredible nation. We arrive in the afternoon or at night, and once we reach the airport, we will meet our assistant, who will accompany us to the hotel.
(Meals: N/A)
Delhi is one of the most populous metropolises in India, a city of a thousand colors. Originally, there were 7 ancient cities; New Delhi is a blend of these 7 old cities, which explains the contrasts of this incredible country. After spending a day exploring the lively alleys of Delhi by rickshaw, which house numerous bazaars, you can experience the colors, sounds, and aromas of this wonderful country. We immerse ourselves in the chaos of Chandni Chowk, the bustling heart of the old city — a chaotic mix of shops, street vendors, monkeys, sacred cows, street food stalls, tangled electrical wires, and many other unimaginable sights. On the way back, we pass by the outer walls of the Red Fort of Delhi, built by Shah Jahan (5th Mughal King 5 January 1592 – 22 January 1666). In the afternoon, we depart for a panoramic tour of the British-era city center, from where wide avenues branch out, lined by Parliament, government ministries, embassies, and the famous India Gate. We visit the grand Sikh temple, Gurudwara Bangla Sahib, for a first glimpse of Indian mysticism. Overnight stay at the hotel.
(Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner included)
After breakfast, we depart for Jaipur. Along the way, we stop to visit Abhaneri and the famous Chand Baori, the most famous and impressive stepwell in India—a true palace that, instead of rising to the sky, descends into a labyrinth of stairs in search of water, which is very rare in these areas. In the afternoon, a “village safari” is planned aboard a Jugaad, the “Mercedes” of Indian villages. Overnight stay at the hotel.
(Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner included)
We start the day with the beautiful Amber Fort (Amer Fort located in Amer, 11 Km from city Jaipur), perched on a hilltop, one of Rajasthan’s UNESCO World Heritage sites, famous for its rooms decorated with mirrors. We descend by jeep and return to Jaipur, where we visit the fabulous astronomical observatory, Jantar Mantar. Afterwards, we take a stroll through the colorful bazaar, with time for shopping or relaxation at the hotel.
(Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner included)
In the morning, we depart for Agra (230 km from south-east of capita of India, Delhi and around 241 km from Jaipur), stopping along the way to visit the ghost city of Fatehpur Sikri, built by Emperor Akbar and abandoned after only twelve years. Upon arrival in Agra, we head straight to the Red Fort. Built in 1565 by the Mughal emperors, it is a magnificent fortified structure of red sandstone and white marble with inlays, offering stunning views of the nearby Taj Mahal. Overnight stay at the hotel.
(Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner included)
After breakfast, we visit the Taj Mahal (closed on Fridays) at sunrise, one of the best times to see it, when the white marble of the monument is tinted by the many colors of the early morning light. Then we continue towards Delhi, stopping en route to visit the Akshardham Temple (closed on Mondays). In the evening, transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.
(Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner included)
