It is an area of 800 km2 which is divided into meadows, steep cliffs, deciduous forests and rocky landscape. A significant percentage of about 90% of the area of the sanctuary is covered with a tree called “Dhok” and some species of the opposite flora and fauna that live in the depths of this park. In 1955 the Sariska Park has declared a wildlife sanctuary and became an important park in 1979.

It is located in the hills of Aravali. The only tiger reserve on the border of the capital of India, New Delhi, and thus the capital of Rajasthan, Jaipur.

Where to access the Sariska National Park?

Since Delhi, the road takes you about 200 km via Gurgaon – Dharuhera – Bhiwari Tijara – Kishangarbhas – Alwar and from Jaipur, it is 110 km on the road via Shahpur – Bairath – Thanagazi. The journey from Delhi takes almost 4 hours and from Jaipur, it takes about 2 hours.

When is the best time to go to Sariska Park?

While the best time to visit Sariska Park is from April to June, Jungle Safari is organized from October to June and is open seven days a week. Three monsoon months, from July to September, are closed.

Opening and Closing Hours of the Park and Safari

During the summer months, Sariska Park is open from 6 am to 9:30 am and from 3 pm to 7 pm. It is open in winter from 6 am to 10 pm and from a few hours to 6 pm in the evening.

Entrance fees to the Sariska Park are as follows

For Indian citizens, Rs 80

For foreign nationals, Rs 470

Rs 400 for cameras and video cameras.

The Rs 4200 which includes six persons per jeep safari.

Important guidelines for visitors

The visitors must bring care kits, travel backpacks, dehydration juices and some snacks to enjoy the safari. Proper identification, such as a passport, driver’s license, or voter’s card, is required, however, or visitors may face legal problems.
