The Keoladeo Ghana National Park

This park is formerly known as Bharatpur Aviary and is considered one of the most important breeding and feeding grounds for birds in the world. By Road: There are superb roads and services to all major cities in Rajasthan and some opposite states like Delhi, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh. Bharatpur is also well connected by road to Delhi (155 km), Agra (55 km) and Jaipur (nearly 176 km).

When is the best time to go to Keoladeo Park?

Since the temperature reaches a maximum of 48 degrees centigrade in summer, from May to June, and about 5 degrees centigrade in winter, from December to February, the easiest time to get to Keoladeo Park is between the months of October and March.

Important Guidelines for Visitors

During the summer, light cotton clothing should be worn and in winter, light woollen clothing is essential.

Bring along litres of water, energy drink and rehydration drink to eliminate exhaustion from the body.

It is forbidden to smoke and make a fire inside the park.

Do not dispose of garbage in the park.

Weapons are strictly prohibited inside the park.

While on a jeep safari, it is forbidden to leave the vehicle except in the areas designated for this purpose.

Photographic cameras are allowed inside the park, but the use of flashlights is prohibited.

It is not allowed to carry any type of musical instrument or music player inside the park so as not to disturb the fauna and flora.
