The Park of Panna is registered because it is the 22nd largest tiger reserve in India and therefore the 5th largest in Madhya Pradesh. While the park was established in 1981, in 1994 the Indian government declared it a tiger reserve project. It is the residence of Gharial and Mugger, and it is also the smallest polluted river of all the tributaries of the Yamuna River.

A total area of the Panna Park is about 1646 km2, of which 543 km2 are marked because of the central area. The recorded average rainfall is about 1100 mm. It has a minimum temperature of 5 degrees centigrade and a maximum temperature of up to 45 degrees centigrade.

Hours of opening and closing of the park and the safari

In the winter season, from October to February, the park is open for safari from sunrise to 11 am and in the afternoon from 3 pm to sunset.

Fees for safari and other expenses

In Panna National Park there are two different gates: Madla and Hinauta.

Park entrance fees: a place for the safari is charged Rs 250.

Full vehicle for 8 persons: the safari is charged Rs 1500.

The fee for an expert guide is Rs 360.

Pandav and Ramesh Falls by bicycle or on foot are charged Rs 50.

The bus fee for one person is Rs 550.

The bus fee for 10 persons will be Rs 1000.

Essential tips for visitors

The first hours of the morning and the last hours of the afternoon are the easiest times to get to the park.

Carry a bottle of drink and do not throw rubbish inside the park.

It is obligatory not to make chaos and to maintain silence inside the park so as not to disturb the wildlife.

It is forbidden to smoke and light fires inside the park.

Firearms are not allowed inside the park.

Listen to your guide, follow his instructions and only leave the vehicle in the areas provided for this purpose.

Visitors are advised not to use strong perfumes, deodorants or scented oils to avoid attracting bees.

Baldeoji Temple: It is believed that Baldeoji Temple is inspired by Roman architecture and also has a Gothic character. The temple consists of a large hall called maha mandapa with a number of huge pillars and is built on a raised platform. You can also see the temple itself from outside the highest gate.
