Locations of Kaziranga Park?

A train station in Guwahati is the nearest and busiest. Air flights from various destinations to Guwahati are frequent. You can travel from Guwahati by road or by air. Alternatively, you will find trains from Guwahati to Jorhat and from Jorbat you can drive to the park. It can take a long time to find direct trains to Jorhat.

The optimum time to get to Kaziranga Park

Safaris commence very early in the morning. The safari will only be open for a few hours. Game drives start between 5.30 and 7.30 am. We are divided into two safari teams, all of which are spread out over one hour. During the afternoon, the safari starts at 3 and ends with 4.

Safari fees for the Kaziranga Park

Admission to the park does not include the cost of the elephant safari. This varies from time to time and according to the season. Safari fees are collected in advance of the safari to be paid and only Indian money is accepted.

An Elephant Safari allows two or three adults on one elephant. One seat costs, INR750 for Indians and INR 1250 for foreigners. Custodial fees are INR 25 per person. Custody fee is compulsory. Refer to the official page of the park for the current rate.
