This tour in India will allow you to discover the cultural and geographical diversity of its eastern part. Arrival at Imphal

Upon arrival, the representative of our travel agency in India will take you to your hotel. Check in , then lunch.
In the afternoon, you will visit the Khwairamband bazaar to familiarize yourself with the Manipuris way of life. After which you will visit the Govindajee temple dedicated to Krishna.

Full Day at Sangai Festival

Throughout this 2nd day of your trip to India, you will attend the Sangai festival. This event will allow you to have a great overview of Manipur culture through performances and activities like:
- traditional dances of different tribes with traditional music.
- fashion shows in ethnic outfits.
- traditional boat races.
-Local  sports parties.
- exhibition of crafts and fine arts.
- tasting of the local cuisine.

Loktak Lake and Keibul Lamjao National Park

To start this 3rd day of your India tour, you will explore Lake Loktak. Totaling 35 km in length, it is the largest freshwater lake in the northern part of eastern India. It is also one of the most photogenic places in India.
Then you will go to Keibul Lamjao National Park to discover the deer and wild boars of Manipur. From there, you will take the road to Tiddim where the Japanese and an Indian division have clashed.
After these visits, return to Imphal. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Imphal.

Imphal - Kohima

After breakfast, you will head north to Kohima, the capital of Nagaland. The trip lasts an average of 4 hours and crosses some of the most beautiful places in Manipur often ignored by tourists.
Arrived in Kohima, check in a hotel. Lunch, then free day. To complete your tailor-made trip to India, you can visit tribal villages to meet communities, learn about their stories, lifestyles and traditions, and try their culinary specialties.

Full Day at Hornbill Festival

Another day dedicated to a typical festival during your budget India tour. This is the Hornbill Festival where you can experience a mix of naga cultural events in one place. During this event, tribal folklore, songs and traditional music are linked. You will have the opportunity to discover handicrafts ranging from bamboo products to traditional clothes. In addition, you will have the opportunity to taste typical dishes.
In the evening, you can wander around the city market to immerse yourself in the festive atmosphere of local youth. Return to the Kohima hotel in the late evening for dinner.

Kohima - Khonoma - Kohima

After breakfast, you will head to a small village of Khonoma. Perched on the hill of Japfu, it is the village of a warrior tribe called Angami. You will enjoy a visit accompanied by a local guide for more discoveries. This visit will allow you to learn more about the history of the Angami people, but also their know-how. This tribe is indeed endowed in agriculture, methods of conservation, works on stone, phytotherapy, etc.

Kohima - Mokokchung

For this 7th day of your tour in India, drive north to discover Mokokchung, the cultural and administrative center of the Aos. The drive takes about 5 hours and will offer you beautiful rural landscapes.
Arriving at your destination, you will visit the village of Aliba to discover the largest wooden drum. You will also visit Mopungchung where a lodge awaits you to spend the night. Check , then lunch.
In the afternoon, you will visit the village of Mopungchung and its museum. After which you will discover the Longkhum village famous for its craft center before exploring the "Spring Villa" museum to immerse yourself in the art and culture of the Aos.

Mokokchung - Jorhat

For this 8th day of your stay in East India, you will go to Jorhat, in the state of Assam. This is a region nestled in the Brahmaputra Valley coveted for its lush tea gardens. On the way, you will make a stop at the Gibbon Sanctuary to see monkeys.

Full Day at Majuli Island

This 9th day of your tour India is dedicated to the visit of the island of Majuli, the locality of Vaisnava. This piece of land is only accessible by ferry that you will take to Nimatighat.
Arriving on the island, you explore the village on foot and by car. You will visit the Satra before discovering the different cultural activities of the locals. These include bamboo weaving, pottery, traditional fishing, boat making, mask making, etc.
In the late afternoon, you will enjoy the sunset at the edge of the beach before returning to Jorhat. Dinner and overnight in Jorhat.

Jorhat - Kaziranga National Park
