Day 01: Welcome to Cochin airport and transfer to the hotel

Our French speaking agency in India will warmly welcome you to Cochin airport. She will also take care of your transfer to your guesthouse on the island of Vypeen. Day 02: Cochin

Explore Cochin, this is your main activity for this second day of travel to Kerala. In the morning, you will visit the colonial Cochin where you will discover the Dutch palace, the oldest synagogue in India and the church of St. Francis Xavier, the oldest European church in the country.

In the late afternoon, place to the arts. You will be invited to see a show "Kaleidoscope" which highlights the greatest Kerala arts. They include Kalari, Kerala Nadanam, Theyam, Mohiniyattam and Kathakaly. Lunch and dinner. Overnight at the Neema Guest House.

Day 03: Cochin - Mundackal (60km/1h30)

Breakfast. Morning departure to Mundackal Plantation Homestay. It is a guest house in the heart of a vast forest of 125 hectares where you can combine relaxation and adventure. Many visits are planned for this purpose. You will not miss to go to Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary. After that, you will explore tea plantations. These experiences are the guarantee of an unforgettable trip to India.

Lunch and free evening meal. Overnight at Mundackal Plantation.

Day 04: Mundackal Plantation

Breakfast. This 4th day of your budget India tour will still be dedicated to discovering the wonders around your guest house. This time, you will visit the elephant camp in Kodanadu. After that, you can go cycling in the surroundings or take a boat trip to Bhoothatha Kettu.

Lunch and dinner. Overnight at Mundackal Plantation.

Day 05: Mundackal Plantation - Casa Del Fauno (80km/2h)

Breakfast. You continue your homestay in India to Munnar. Check in Casa del Fauno where the owner (Ms. Suni) will offer you a unique welcome. Lunch and dinner. Overnight at Casa Del Fauno.

Day 06: Casa Del Fauno

After breakfast, a trek to Kolukkumalai is set for a tour in South India rich in adventures. This activity includes a jeep safari, a tea plantation tour and a tea making tour. Throughout the tour, you will enjoy many panoramas. The one on the Tamil plains and the 2nd highest mountain of South India (2675 m of altitude) will seduce you surely. Note to travelers: not very intense, this trekking is relatively accessible. But do not forget your hiking gear to make the most of it. Lunch and dinner free. Overnight in Ms. Suni's guesthouse.

Day 07: Casa Del Fauno - Koshy  (110km/2h)

After breakfast, a short morning crossing to access Periyar National Park. It is a great sanctuary of nature where you will discover an important biodiversity. On the flora side, the site reveals a great diversity of species such as ebony, teak, rubber, rubber, etc. And in terms of wildlife, the park is home to a number of mammals, including elephants. You will also find tigers. One kilometer from this park is Mr and Mrs Koshy's guest house. Their welcome, their kindness and their kindness will be a small bonus of this day trip to Kerala. Day 08: Koshy

This day promises to be very authentic. In the morning, you will once again make a jump to Periyar National Park. But this time, you travel it in a typical boat to discover some of its most beautiful treasures.

After this walk, the Koshy family awaits you for a lunch with them. Then, you continue your tour in Kerala. You will explore the family spice plantation of Mr. and Mrs. Koshy. Perched high, it offers a breathtaking panorama of the Tamil plains.

Day 09: Koshy - Mannaas Veedu (101km/2h30)

Breakfast. Departure to the guest house of Mannaas Veedu, whose architecture is incomparable. It was built according to the traditional style of architecture of Kerala and following the standards of Vastu Shastra (Indian building science). Once there, you will be personally received by Mr Aji Alex, the owner. He will ensure that every moment spent in his guesthouse will make you want to return on your next trip to India. Day 10: Mannas Veedu

The time has come in this tour in Kerala to choose your favorite activity. You will have the choice between 3 activities: - Cooking class typical of Kerala. This will be an opportunity to learn more about the local culture. - An elephant trip to the Konni Eco Tourism Center. It will also include a walk through the surrounding villages to immerse yourself in the Kerala way of life. - A relaxing day. Mannaas Veedu has an Ayurvedic center where you can enjoy various wellness treatments. Lunch and dinner. Overnight in Mannas Veedu.

Day 11: Mannas Veedu - Nelpura Heritage (50km/1h15min)

For this 11th day of your trip to South India, you will discover the Indian Backwaters. To do this, you will go to Allepey. Then you will make a boat trip to Nelpura Heritage Homestay. The guest house is nestled in the heart of unspoilt wilderness. Your stay will surely be peaceful, but also enjoyable thanks to the great hospitality of Chackochan and Salimma, the owners of the place. Lunch and dinner. Overnight at Nelpura Heritage Homestay.

Day 12: Nelpura Heritage Homestay

Breakfast. Later a Backwaters cruise is planned for this 12th day of travel to South India. But it's up to you to choose the type of cruise you will do. Knowing that there is the two-hour ride aboard a simple boat and the half-day houseboat cruise.

Day 13: Nelpura Heritage Homestay - Cochin (75km/2h10min) (Departure)

For this last day of your trip to Kerala, you will have free time before heading to Cochin airport for the return flight.
